On Thursday 9th November at The Insurance Hall in London, George Worby was awarded the Insurance Practitioner Apprentice of the Year 2023. The event was the first apprenticeship awards ceremony the CII has held.

In passing the Level 3 Apprenticeship with Distinction, George dedicated over 480 hours. The course required demonstration a variety of knowledge, skills and behaviours, in addition to undertaking the Chartered Insurance Institute examinations, becoming Cert CII Qualified.

Celebrating George’s achievement, Stefan Daines, Broking Director at Daines Kapp said “George puts 100% into everything he does, and the apprenticeship was no exception. George works meticulously and ensures the work he produces is always to the highest standard. Passing the Apprenticeship with Distinction is a true reflection of the hard work George has dedicated throughout. I am delighted he is being recognised for his efforts and achievements today.”

George said: “It is an honour to be named the CII’s Insurance Practitioner Apprentice of the Year for 2023. The apprenticeship gave me the opportunity to learn the essentials of insurance. Achieving Cert CII status, it has given me a strong foundation to develop as an insurance broker. I would encourage anyone to think about studying an apprenticeship, no matter what stage of your career.”
