Daines Kapp Insurance Brokers’ staff took part in a wheelchair rugby training session with Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club (SWRC) in November.
Nine members of the Daines Kapp team, alongside five volunteers from SWRC, took part in the event at Birchwood Leisure Centre in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
Committee members and players from SWRC put together several drills for the staff at Daines Kapp to become familiar with using the wheelchair, plus practice skills such as passing, blocking and scoring.
The session ended with Daines Kapp given the opportunity to put the practice to use by taking part in a high-scoring game.

In addition, Saracens Wheelchair Rugby Club recently received £1,000 from the Allianz Sports Fund thanks to a nomination from Daines Kapp.
Working in partnership with their brokers, the Allianz Sports Fund provides funding to grassroots sports clubs across the country.
The Allianz Sports Fund team said: ‘We were really impressed with the impact you have in your local community and we’re pleased to be able to work with our insurance broker partner, Daines Kapp Insurance Brokers, to help support grassroots sports.’
SWRC plan to put the money to good use, with possible options including a new playing kit, replacement equipment such as tyres and wheels, and storage solutions.
